West Boca’s Secret

West Boca’s Secret

As a local realtor in Boca Raton, people often assume I live steps from the sand, with a boat docked in the backyard and the Atlantic Ocean within arm’s reach. And while I do love being on the water — whether it's an early morning paddle, a weekend boat ride, or a sunset dinner at a waterfront restaurant — I actually call West Boca Raton home.

Surprising? Maybe. But let me tell you why choosing to live in West Boca while still embracing a water-centric lifestyle is one of the best-kept secrets in South Florida.

Water Lifestyle, On Your Terms

West Boca offers the perfect balance. In under 20 minutes, I can be at Boca Inlet or Lake Boca, ready for a boat day with friends, or heading out on a deep-sea fishing trip. I’m close enough to all the marinas — like Royal Palm Yacht & Country Club, Silver Palm Park, and Pioneer Park in Deerfield — but without the congestion and noise of the coast when I’m not on the water.

The best part? After a long day boating or beach-hopping, I get to retreat to a quieter, greener side of Boca with wide open spaces, country club amenities, and tranquil neighborhoods where the pace slows down just enough to recharge.

The Best of Both Worlds

Living in West Boca means I don’t have to sacrifice luxury, convenience, or access to water adventures. Many of the communities out west, like Boca Woods Country Club (where I proudly live), Boca West, and Boca Pointe, offer resort-style living with sprawling golf courses, tennis courts, pickleball, and private clubhouses.

And when I crave a saltwater fix? It's a short drive to Mizner Park for cocktails, Spanish River Park for a beach walk, or Delray Beach’s lively Atlantic Avenue for waterfront dining. You get to curate your water lifestyle when you want it, and retreat when you don't.

More Space, Less Hustle

Another reason I love West Boca? Space. Homes tend to offer larger lots, less traffic, and a calmer, more family-friendly vibe. Whether you want a backyard pool, outdoor kitchen, or room for the dog to run, you’ll get more house and land for your money compared to East Boca.

Plus, many West Boca communities have their own lakes and waterways — so you can still wake up to water views, kayak on your own neighborhood lake, or cast a fishing line without ever leaving your street.

Easy Access to Everything

People often underestimate how convenient West Boca is. I’m minutes from major roadways like the Turnpike and I-95, making it easy to get to Miami, Fort Lauderdale, and Palm Beach. The new restaurants and upscale shops popping up along 441 and Glades Road mean I don’t have to fight for parking downtown for a great meal or boutique shopping.

And when I want to head east for a boating day, it’s seamless. I can go from my driveway to the docks in 15–20 minutes.

Final Thoughts

For water lovers like me, the ocean will always call — but West Boca gives you the freedom to answer when you want, not because your backyard demands it. It’s a lifestyle where you can have the boat, the beach days, and the marina brunches, but also the peace, privacy, and space to unwind.

If you’ve been considering a move to Boca Raton and think you need to live east to embrace the water lifestyle, let’s talk. I’d love to show you what’s possible in West Boca — and why so many boaters, beachgoers, and outdoor enthusiasts are happily calling it home.
